St.Vincent's (THE STRANGERS ) vs Kid Cudi's (MANIAC)

So it has been brought to my attention that kid cudi's song Maniac has used the sample of St. Vincents

The Strangers.Hip Hop in the 2000's has been known to use hispterish songs or just rock in general

to complement their tight pant rapping styles which i am a personal favorite of now when this was brought to my attention the my friend was pretty much dogging the Maniac song but the more i listen to them back to back , im realizing that who every did the sample did a great job also who ever wrote THE STRANGER im sure would be pleased as we i believe they compliment each other very well. They both are driven sully by the bass drum.Which is essential in rap song .Now lets not leave out the beautiful melody displayed but the chorus that set the perfect mood then around 2:57 the St. Vincent original gets really gnarley which is one thing that Kid Cudi  is missing in his Maniac its to blah blah blah 'paint the black whole blacker ' i wish he would've did shrooms and challenged himself a lil more to not only make a dope song but also pay homage to the original  because its pretty damn awesome but thats also not his fault i mean unless if he did the sample. but i do give him props for even knowing who the fuck St. Vincent is i give him mad respect for attempting to copy a painting of an already beautiful portrait. Over all with 10 being the original i give the remake a ...... fuck you there both dope its creative and is pushing music to a better level meshing pretty with aggressive. Now if Cudi could get St, Vincent and her band to play this song live O God it would be Amazing .I'm a fan of both theres always room improvement ALWAYS, lets also realize that they told two different story's with with a similar plot and thats it.
